Crop trials are a great way of testing different varieties or treatments in your own soil and climate. To get results that will allow you to confidently determine the best course of action for future management of your paddocks, it’s vital to use a scientific approach from planning through to evaluation at the end of the trial. This means ensuring that you’ve properly recorded the inputs and other variables in each location, and measuring and applying relevant spatial analysis methods to the results.
Eden PA can undertake statistical comparison of cleaned and processed yield data from your crop trial against one or more other variables, for example crop variety or chemical/nutrient applied, in order to find correlations and identify the factors which are most closely related to productivity and profitability.
If you’d like assistance with planning and carrying out your crop trial, you may also wish to consider Eden PA’s Precision Agriculture Consulting services.
